The stay
Naukluft Camp is situated within the Naukluft section of the Namib-Naukluft National Park, an area originally established as a sanctuary for Hartmann’s mountain zebra, which are native to Namibia. The camp offers a base for exploring a region characterised by steep cliffs, which attract various cliff-breeding bird species, including Black eagles. The Naukluft section of the park is home to five distinct vegetation communities and diverse wildlife. This area is also noted for its varied rock formations, presenting a geological landscape that features the Gritty Dolomite, found uniquely in this location. The site provides access to natural rock pools and serves as a starting point for several hiking trails, catering to different levels of experience.
