Founded in 1977, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust runs the world's most successful orphan elephant rescue and rehabilitation programme. From its Nairobi nursery, orphaned elephants are reared and gradually reintegrated into wild herds in Tsavo. The Trust also funds anti-poaching units, mobile veterinary teams, and aerial surveillance across Kenya's most critical wildlife habitats.

The Northern Rangelands Trust supports a network of 43 community conservancies across northern and coastal Kenya, covering over 63,000 km².
