    Mauritian Wildlife Foundation

Founded in 1984 with Gerald Durrell, the Mauritian Wildlife Foundation is the island's flagship conservation NGO. Working across Mauritius, Rodrigues and the offshore islets, MWF has brought the Mauritius kestrel, pink pigeon and echo parakeet back from the brink of extinction, and continues to protect the country's endemic reptiles, native forests and seabird colonies.
