Swartfontein Game & Adventure Lodge

Swartfontein Game & Adventure Lodge is within the Namib Spreethoogte Private Nature Reserve, an 8000-hectare private reserve established in 1999. The lodge preserves the fragile ecosystem of the pro-Namib area. Guests are welcomed into an old farmhouse environment, originally built by a German soldier at the beginning of this century. The guesthouse offers a warm, inviting atmosphere alongside the serenity and solitude of expansive landscapes. Electricity and hot water are available 24 hours a day, powered by solar panels. Wi-Fi is available at the lodge.

The lodge provides entertainment possibilities to its guests. These include game drives to observe endemic and exotic game species. Sunset drives offer views of the Namib desert while enjoying a sundowner drink. Self-guided walking tours allow visitors to explore the area at their own pace. Accommodation at Swartfontein Game & Adventure Lodge consists of 10 double rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. The guest rooms are in a separate wing of the elegant farmhouse. The general feel of the accommodation complements the old farmhouse environment, ensuring a restful stay amidst the natural surroundings of the private nature reserve.

The food is excellent. Meals include homemade bread, pasta, and ice-cream. The living rooms and dining room within the farmhouse are very comfortable.
