Zambezi Mubala Lodge is a riverfront retreat along the Zambezi River, 40 kilometres east of Katima Mulilo in Namibia. The name ‘Mubala’ translates to 'colour' in Silozi. The lodge's interiors are decorated with blue and green hues, reflecting the surrounding river and vegetation. The lodge combines modern luxury with natural beauty, providing an escape into a tropical setting.
The lodge features 21 bungalows. Facilities include a restaurant and bar, a swimming pool, and a curio shop. Guests access complimentary WiFi in the reception area. The property maintains 24-hour security and offers mobile connectivity. Secure parking is available at the adjacent Zambezi Mubala Camp.
Activities at the lodge cater to nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers. The lodge is approximately 215 km from Victoria Falls, making day trips to this landmark possible. Other activities include boat cruises to observe birdlife and catch-and-release fishing excursions. Morning, afternoon, and sunset boat cruises are offered, providing opportunities to see species such as heron, pelican, egret, lesser flamingo, and African fish eagle. Refreshments and light snacks are included on these boat trips. Guided fishing trips target species like catfish, tilapia, nembwe, and tigerfish, with boats, basic tackle, and bait provided. Fishing is conducted on a catch-and-release basis. The lodge also offers seasonal guided walks to bird colonies, including Carmine Bee-eater colonies, which are bookable directly at reception. The lodge accepts Visa and Mastercard and provides a laundry service. Check-in is at 14:00, with check-out at 10:00. Early check-in or late check-out is available upon enquiry.
