The stay
Zambezi Mubala Campsite sits along the Zambezi River, 40 kilometres east of Katima Mulilo in Namibia’s Zambezi Region. Towering trees shade the campsite, and Fish Eagles call from the riverside. The site has a cold-water swimming pool, a playground for children, and a curio shop. WiFi is available at reception, and mobile connectivity operates. The campsite provides 24-hour security and secure parking at the main lodge. Check-in is at 14:00. Early check-in is subject to availability. Check-out is at 10:00. Late check-out is available upon request. Laundry service is provided.
Activities include guided fishing trips. Guests catch species such as catfish, tilapia, nembwe, and tigerfish on a catch-and-release basis. Boats, basic tackle, and bait are included. Fishing licences are obtained at the camp office. River cruises run at sunset and in the morning or afternoon. They offer observation of vibrant birdlife including heron, pelican, egret, lesser flamingo, and African fish eagle. These cruises include refreshments and light snacks. Guided nature walks go to nearby bird colonies. Excursions to Victoria Falls are arranged.
