The stay
Namushasha River Lodge is situated along the Kwando River in Namibia’s Zambezi Region, offering a combination of water-based adventures and wildlife sightings. The lodge provides an enriching experience with authentic African charm. Its open-sided dining room features a high thatched roof, allowing the river environment to integrate with the interior space. The property includes 25 bungalows located near the riverbank, providing a tranquil setting.
In 2024, the bungalows received updated designs to enhance comfort. Further upgrades are scheduled between January 1 and April 2, 2026, for guest areas including the reception, restaurant, bar, and sundowner deck, with the aim of creating a brighter and more modern space while retaining the lodge's appeal. This closure is planned to minimise disruption. The lodge offers an ideal stopover for those travelling towards Victoria Falls, blending an uncharted water world with the region’s wildlife. Guests can enjoy the sounds of the river, observe animals from the Bwabwata National Park, and engage in activities that showcase the natural beauty of the area. The setting fosters a sense of peace, with opportunities to relax on verandas or explore the surroundings. Namushasha River Lodge is part of the Gondwana Collection, emphasising its connection to the local environment, where the Kwando River supports a diverse array of fauna and flora. Shared facilities on site include a restaurant, bar, boma for outdoor gatherings, a curio shop, and a cold water swimming pool. Wi-Fi is available at reception, with 1MB provided free per person per day. The lodge also offers 24-hour security, mobile connectivity, and secure parking. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
