Nambwa Tented Lodge

Nambwa Tented Lodge is a luxury tented camp positioned high in the treetops within Bwabwata National Park in Namibia’s Zambezi region. The lodge’s design accommodates the free passage of migrating wildlife below, including elephants. The main areas of the lodge feature a majestic deck, which provides views of the floodplains below. Large herds of elephants, buffalos, and plains game frequent these floodplains. An elegant safari lounge offers a fusion of energy and relaxation, featuring a library with vintage artefacts and books, alongside small relics found on the historical military site during the lodge's construction. Guests observe elephants and other wildlife meandering through the camp from the safety of the decks or timber walkways. The lodge offers game drives, guided bush walks, and boat trips. Additional activities include a Sijwa Project Tour, fishing excursions, bush dining, romantic picnics, and sundowners at Horseshoe Lagoon.

The lodge features ten luxury, spacious tented suites, accessed via a timber walkway that meanders through the trees. Each suite is built among the treetops and offers 110 m² of space. The decoration uses natural colours, fostering a sense of serenity. The suites open up completely, providing a feeling of vastness and opulence. Each tented suite includes a double bed with mosquito nets, a private lounge with a sofa and armchairs, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, bath, double basins, a large mirror, and a flush toilet. Biodegradable amenities and complimentary sherry are provided. A laptop safe is available. Each suite also has a spacious viewing deck with lounge chairs, offering private views. Guests receive tea or coffee with homemade biscuits delivered to their tent at dawn.

Dining at Nambwa Tented Lodge takes place on the majestic main deck, where guests enjoy open-sky meals with views of the floodplains. The flexible kitchen prepares high-quality cuisine that is unpretentious and tasty, including a three-course dinner. Meals are taken communally at a long table or at separate tables. A bar serves drinks throughout the day. Sundowners include homemade, healthy snacks while gazing across the Horseshoe Lagoon. Bush dining provides an African safari experience with delectable cuisine served in a remote, peaceful setting. Romantic picnics under a canopy of trees include sparkling wine and an organic spread.
