&Beyond Phinda Zuka was born from legacy and shaped for connection, offering guests a soulful safari retreat. Drawing inspiration from the name Zuka, meaning 'dawn', the lodge celebrates new beginnings while honouring its heritage as the home of one of the reserve's founding families. With just four individual thatched Zululand bush suites overlooking a waterhole, the lodge feels like a shared home — generous and intimate in the densely wooded Zuka Hills. Ideal for small groups and gatherings, Phinda Zuka can be reserved for exclusive-use for up to 10 guests or booked by the suite for more flexible travel. Game drives trace a region alive with contrast, from open grassland to sand forest and sandveld. This is also where Phinda's leopard habituation programme began.
