Overview
Moontide Guest Lodge is nestled at the end of a private road, directly on the tranquil lagoon in Wilderness. This elegant thatched lodge boasts beautiful furnishings, original art, and stunning views of the lagoon. Each of the 10 en-suite units provides complete privacy with its own entrance, leading to a garden featuring ancient milkwood trees and a refreshing plunge pool. Guests can start their day with a delicious full South African breakfast served on the patio overlooking the lagoon. For cooler days, a cozy lounge with a fireplace offers a welcoming retreat. The lodge also features shaded wooden decks and a floating deck, all conveniently located less than 500 meters from the beach, local restaurants, and scenic trails.

Moon River
The original master bedroom, under thatch, with king-size bed. Patio overlooks main deck and river. En-suite bathroom with bath tub and shower. Two single beds on the mezzanine-loft, able to accommodate two children under 12. Kitchenette with view.
Moonshadow 1
One of our luxurious Garden Courtyard rooms, with king-size bed centred on the private courtyard. Al fresco daybed. En-suite bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. Option to open interleading courtyard door to Moonshadow 2 to create a private unit.
Moonshadow 2
Our largest suite, with a lounge area that can be made into two single beds (children under 12). Double doors onto a private courtyard. En-suite bathroom with bath tub, shower, separate toilet; walk-in cupboard. Can be combined with Moonshadow 1.
Milkwood
A stand-alone thatched cottage with a king-size bed centred on a private patio, and an upstairs loft bedroom sleeping up to three in a Japanese-style double bed and a single bed. The en-suite bathroom has a bath tub and shower.
Tree Tops
A romantic cabin, very private and perched above the milkwood canopy. Queen-size bed centred on a shaded balcony, with loungers and comfortable chairs to enjoy the views. En-suite bathroom with indoor bath tub and private outdoor shower.
Stone Cottage
A two-bedroom thatched stone cottage, with shared bathroom (bath tub and shower), and kitchenette. Main bedroom with king-size bed centred on double doors opening onto private courtyard. Second bedroom can also be accessed from private courtyard.
The Boathouse
Located right on the waters edge, our honeymoon suite, with wonderful river views. French door open onto riverside patio with loungers and table. Lounge with fireplace. Bedroom with king-size bed. En-suite bathroom with bath tub and walk-in shower.
Moondance
Part of the original homestead, with high thatched ceiling and king-size bed. French doors opening onto a furnished patio overlooking the main deck, offering easy access to the river. En-suite bathroom with corner bath tub and shower.
The Nest
Tucked into the back of the garden, The Nest is one of our most private rooms a real retreat, with king-size bed, desk, kitchenette and veranda with garden view. A compact en-suite bathroom with shower only.
Kingfisher
A neat, compact room perched above the guest house, with king-size bed. Doors open onto the elevated deck, offering lovely views of the milkwood trees and river. A quaint, well-equipped kitchenette. En-suite bathroom with walk-in shower only.
