Lodge in Vaalwater, Waterberg, Limpopo
Bushwa Private Game Lodge sits on 1,000 hectares of water-rich Waterberg bushveld, entirely malaria-free and a comfortable 2.5-hour drive from Johannesburg. The Main Lodge offers four thatched chalets and one canvas-tented chalet, each with en-suite bathrooms, outdoor showers, queen beds and private viewing decks. A separate Tree House — set 3 km from the Main Lodge overlooking a waterhole — provides a rustic, romantic escape ideal for honeymooners. Wildlife on the reserve includes buffalo, sable, eland, kudu, giraffe, zebra, brown hyena and a wealth of bird life. With a strict limit on the number of vehicles in the reserve, sightings remain intimate and unhurried.
