Damara Mopane Lodge

Damara Mopane Lodge is situated 20 km east of Khorixas in the Kunene Region of Namibia. The lodge is constructed in a semi-circle of interlinking pathways, leading to a central swimming pool. This design is reminiscent of an African village. Each of the 60 chalets features its own small garden, which includes flowers, herbs, and vegetables. These gardens contribute to the lodge's ambiance and supply fresh ingredients to the kitchen. Zany scarecrows are placed within the gardens. The lodge grounds also feature well-kept green lawns and shady mopane trees.

The central area of the lodge is large and cheerful. There is a bar, a curio shop, and a cold water swimming pool. A viewing platform can be accessed by ascending a hill, offering sweeping views of the mopane woodland, particularly at sunset. This platform is a spot for sundowner drinks. The lodge has 24-hour security and offers secure parking at the main lodge. Wi-Fi is available, as is mobile connectivity. The property is accessible for persons with limited mobility.
