Brandberg Rest Camp is situated in the village of Uis, located in the heart of Damaraland in Namibia. The village of Uis provides a grocery store for basic food items, a bottle store, a filling station, and a curio shop. The camp is positioned along the route between Etosha National Park, Henties Bay, and Swakopmund. The gravel roads leading to Uis are generally well-maintained and suitable for sedan vehicles. The area surrounding Uis offers various activities and natural attractions, including the Brandberg mountain, the Petrified Forest, Twyfelfontein, the Valley of the Organ Pipes, Spitzkoppe, and the Doros and Messum Craters. Quad bike routes, swimming in lakes, sundowner cruises, and bird watching are also available. Wildlife in the region includes desert elephants, giraffes, and rhinos.
