Er dient auch als Ausgangspunkt für Tagesausflüge zur Robbenkolonie Cape Cross, zum Schiffswrack Zeila sowie zur Mondlandschaft und zum Welwitschia Drive im Landesinneren von Swakopmund. Nebel und Wind gehören dazu; ein solider Windschutz und warme Kleidung sind wichtiger als alles andere, was Sie einpacken.
