The stay
Canyon Village features forty-two stone-and-thatch chalets arranged in a horseshoe design. The central thatched area, adorned with bougainvillaea, houses the restaurant, bar, lounge, and reception. The lodge incorporates elements of Nama culture and the rugged landscape, with young quiver trees spread around the chalets. The main building is constructed into a granite boulder and contains murals, old wagons, and Nama-inspired details that evoke the history of southern Namibia. Homely touches such as an ox-wagon with historical significance are present in the buffet area, and a well-preserved horse cart is positioned among boulders in the bar. Canyon Village has a broad pool with views across the plains, and comfortable sofas are available in the lounge. Guests can relax by the pool, or join guided activities. The lodge offers mobile connectivity and Wi-Fi, 24-hour security, and secure parking. Laundry service is available. Canyon Village is accessible for persons with limited mobility, and some rooms are specifically suited for guests with restricted mobility. Check-in is from 14:00, with early check-in subject to availability. Check-out is by 10:00, and late check-out can be requested.
