The Ekipa

The Ekipa is an exclusive, standalone luxury villa situated among mopane trees, 10 km south of Etosha National Park’s Andersson Gate on the C38 in Namibia. It is part of the Secret Collection and offers a fully inclusive experience. The name ‘Ekipa’ refers to a handcrafted decorative button, a symbol of wealth and tradition worn by Aawambo women. The property, newly opened on 1st February 2025, is crafted to foster uninterrupted bonding, providing a private two-storey retreat. Guests can watch the sun set and listen to the sounds of birds in the mopane and camelthorn trees. Free, unlimited Wi-Fi is available throughout the private space, and mobile connectivity is also provided. The Ekipa offers secure parking at the main lodge.

The accommodation at The Ekipa consists of a luxury double-storey suite, designed for two adults. The upper level features a spacious bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, which includes a shower. Downstairs, an open-plan living area combines a fully equipped kitchen with dining and lounge spaces. Each suite has air conditioning for both heating and cooling, luxury toiletries, a bathrobe, and a hairdryer. Outdoors, guests have a terraced area with barbecue facilities, an open-air outdoor shower, and a private plunge pool. A private bar is also stocked for guests, and a telescope and binoculars are provided for wildlife viewing or stargazing from an elevated viewing deck overlooking the mopane woodlands. A cosy fireplace is present in the lounge.

The Ekipa offers a fully inclusive experience. The suite features an open-plan, fully equipped kitchen with both dining and lounge areas. The fridge and cupboards are stocked with food and drink selected by guests prior to arrival. A private bar is available in the suite, along with a selection of liquid refreshments in the mini-bar. Private dining is available, and an outdoor boma firepit is also present for stargazing. While the suite is set up for self-catering, fine dining is available at the main lodge should guests wish to eat away from their suite.

The Ekipa is located 10 km south of Etosha National Park's Andersson Gate on the C38 national road in Namibia. Etosha National Park is a place of sanctuary and abundance with a variety of vegetation types, from thorn bush and woodland savannah, stands of makalani palms and the 'phantom' moringa trees to the chalky white pan. The park is home to mammal species, including the black rhino and the black-faced impala. The property’s setting provides a wilderness seclusion just outside the southern edge of Etosha National Park.
